Welcome

Regardless of your state of mind, whether you feel seriously unwell or just a little out of balance, therapy is a place where you can explore whatever bothers you. It is your chance to finally say what you think and feel and get support to make sense of it.  I invite you to work with me to calm your mind, balance yourself, and perhaps navigate life more thoughtfully.

List of services

Thinking Man on Couch

Personal therapy

These are confidential, 50-minute counselling sessions that occur once weekly. We would see each other regularly in my therapy room on a specific day and at the time agreed upon during the first meeting. I offer a psychodynamic approach, which means that I assist you in gaining an understanding of how and why your past affects your current life. Personal therapy suits anyone who thinks they could benefit from this intervention.

Holding Hands

Couples Counselling

Unfortunately, resentment toward someone we used to love seems to be a common trait in many relationships. Couples that used to thrive struggle to understand each other. If you want to improve communication in your relationship and find a new mutual language, I invite you to a safe space to do this.

Corporate Workshops

This work suits groups who want to develop personally and professionally by advancing specific skills, such as managing work relationships or the art of communication in the workplace. Workshops are lectures with elements of discussion and light activities.

About me

Joanna Tobitt Psychotherapy2.jpg

My name is Joanna Tobitt, and I am a BPC Accredited and

BACP Registered Psychotherapist (MBACP).

I work with adults experiencing mild to moderate psychological problems.

I see clients in my private practice in Welwyn Garden City and North London.

In the past, alongside my practice as a Psychotherapist, I worked as an HCA for Hertfordshire Mental Health Trust, caring for psychiatric patients. I assisted many clients in recovery from various psychological difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts or eating disorders, and those who experienced neglect or abuse in childhood.

I follow a strict BPC and BACP code of conduct, receive regular supervision and continuous training, and am fully insured.
